Rudy and George, Jr. have so much in common.
Is it indelicate to point out that these angry, petulant, ineffectual managers have based their political fortunes on 9/11?
Rudy isn't telling anyone that he had moved his disaster response center into the WTC - which had already been hit by a terrorist attack. He failed to get his First Responders the radio equipment they needed to be warned to leave the WTC in time. And on that terrible day, he broke with prior plans and took his police commanders away from the fire commanders - resulting in fatally slower communications.
All in all, these two have a remarkably similar style, and fatally similar results. So they should be hugging!
And why should they not have a manly affection for each other? When Thompson was working as Bush's Secretary of Health, two collaborated on a new database of private information that their administration would hold on every American who ever received medical care. See the article "Feds slammed for not protecting privacy" on World Net Daily.
Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki of Iraq had his picture taken with George W Bush, here shown June 13, 2006. Just so long as they wouldn't have to go back to the Iraqi Civil War.
